Flexibility Classes
- Flex Classes are available to any interested athlete. These classes focus on general flexibility and flyer specific progressions to improve balance, mobility, and flexibility that will benefit all aspects of an athlete’s performance.
- Classes are an hour long and cost $40 per month for UNLIMITED attendance. Once enrolled, your athlete is able to attend as many classes as the schedule allows by requesting a “drop-in”. Drop-ins are done on a day of basis and are processed through the parent portal.
- HOW TO ENROLL?
- All customers must have an account in our system to register and participate in any of our programs. To create an account, you can go through our website by clicking on the “Parent Portal/Booking” tab and following the prompts to input the guardian and athlete information. Be sure to opt into emails as this is how we communicate important billing, scheduling and gym information. You can also download our mobile app called “Stingray Cheer”. It is the same login credentials across both platforms so please only create one account.
- Once you have created your account, you can book a flex class by going to the “Booking” section of the parent portal. Click “Find a Class” and our entire class schedule will be listed. There are over 250 offerings listed so we highly recommend you use the filter functions! Filter the PROGRAM to STUNT to show all of our available flex time slots. Once you have found a day and time that works for you, click the offering, choose your athlete and submit your request. The request will come through to our office and if your request is available, you will receive an “APPROVED” email to the address listed on your account letting you know that you are good to go!
- You will request a drop-in class the same way but as you submit your request, you must note “drop in” in the additional comments section.
Flexibility FAQ’s:
- What is the difference in General Flex and Team Flyer Flex?
- General Flex is available to any interested athlete, not just those in our allstar programs. General flex focuses on the broader aspects of flexibility progressions and less on flying specific curriculum.
- Team Flyer Flex is reserved for athletes that fly on one of our allstar teams. It is tailored to improve team specific flexibility requirements with an emphasis on body positions.
- My athlete is a flyer, but not on a team at Stingrays. Will we benefit from the general flexibility class?
- Absolutely! You can expect an improvement on your overall flexibility which will only help your flying abilities. Body positions will still be worked on, but not with as heavy of an emphasis.
Stunt Classes
- Stunt Classes are an hour long and are for FLYERS ONLY. You do not have to be a current member of our program or an athlete on one of our allstar teams in order to participate. All athletes must be approved through a flex class evaluation to enroll. Athletes will spend time doing body position work on the beam and then rotate through with time spent in the air with our amazing stunt guys. These classes will help to improve balance, air awareness and developing level specific skills as they relate to flying.
- Classes are $75 per athlete, per month.

- If you have not already tested out of flex class, you will need to complete this process AND receive feedback before you can enroll in a stunt class. You can sign up for a one-time flex class through the portal for $10 and complete your evaluation during class. Your athlete will need to notify the instructor once they arrive that they intend to “test out”.
- The evaluation will be conducted by the flex instructor and should take no longer than 5-10 minutes at the end of class. The athlete will need to show front leg body positions on BOTH legs held with control for 8 counts each and “regular” leg back body positions. They will pull a heel stretch, front stretch, bow and arrow on both legs and scorpion, scale then arabesque. The flex instructor will film the evaluation and submit the video to our stunt program director, Christian. Once he shares the feedback, the office will call or email you with the results.
- If your athlete is not able to pull and hold these body positions with control for an 8 count each, we encourage you to enroll in a flex class to gain these skills and test when they feel as though they have mastered them.
